SKF to fight counterfeit bearings

SKF hosted an event aiming at raising awareness to the fact of large amounts of counterfeit bearings circulating on the European market. The event included presentations from both SKF Brand Protection experts and representatives from the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) and Swedish Customs and Police Authorities. To popularize its efforts to combat such illegal practices, SKF destroyed about 30 tons of counterfeit bearings, seized during raids of the authorities.
