SKF with a new fully automated production line

SKF is investing approximately 42 million Euro in improving the competitiveness of its deep groove ball bearing production. This includes shifting some production from Bari, Italy to Asia and Eastern Europe. Also, an automated production channel is also being implemented in Bari. The investment will lead to the automation of manual operations and a flexible and more competitive manufacturing process. This will reduce resetting time from hours to minutes, thus saving on time and costs and also bringing much greater flexibility to the production process. The automated production channel in Bari is expected to be completed during the second half of 2020.
